Maragon Private Schools consist of:

Pre-Primary School : Grade 00 - Grade 0
Primary School : Grade 1 - Grade 7
High School : Grade 8 - Grade 12

Maragon is a centre of excellence where internationally-recognized education of the highest quality is provided.

Currently the student body comprises 1438 enrolled pupils for 2010. We are extremely proud of our growth over the past ten years from 90 pupils in 2000 to 1438 in 2010.

Pupil/teacher ratios are limited to 25 pupils/teacher. The Pre-School pupil/teacher ratio is effectively 16 pupils/teacher, which includes the qualified assistants. This provides opportunity for the development of knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving and life skills.

Maragon Private Schools are situated on 10 hectares of prime land in the peaceful and tranquil area of Ruimsig. The school is in Peter Road, opposite the Roodepoort Golf Club, adjacent to Monash University.

Facilities and buildings are comparable to the best, complemented by an indigenous garden. Development is ongoing, with over 45 000 square metres of sports fields and in excess of 11 000 square meters of classroom space. Classrooms are fully functional with leading-edge technology and state-of-the-art facilities.

The safety of our students is of utmost importance. Entrance to the school is controlled by two full time security guards and security gates which have been erected at strategic points. All parents entering the school premises have to be in possession of a Maragon entrance disk. Alternatively all visitors need to sign in with our security guard, before access is granted.

Maragon wins Jacaranda 94.2 Winter Warmer Schools Challenge
Maragon learners, parents and teachers have once again shown their boundless generosity through the overwhelming contribution to the Jacaranda 94.2 Winter Warmer Schools Challenge.

In a little over three weeks, Maragon collected just over 2000 blankets, an average of more than one blanket per Maragon learner.

On Friday 2 June it was announced that, along with Hoërskool Garsfontein, we won the challenge!

Our prize is a visit and a concert from rock band The Parlotones, sometime during the third term.

Well done to all who contributed. Maragon has proved conclusively that we have the most generous parents and learners in the whole of Gauteng!

The blankets will be distributed to the needy throughout the country. Your contributions will undoubtedly touch the lives of many needy children during winter.
