The Maragon Annual Fundraising Golf Day is held in October and our golfers may participate in the school section.

GOLF TOUR TO NABOOMSPRUIT  27 – 29 MAY 2011

Our golf tour seemed to be just the power injection we need to build a competitive golf team at Maragon. We were impressed by the learners’ responsible behaviour and co-operation.

This is how our golfers experienced it.

RICKUS VAN BILJON

Amazing, wonderful, exciting! These are just a few words that a person would use after going on the 2011 Maragon Golf Tour. I mean, who else can say that they played NIGHT golf, or that they played 18 holes at Legend Signature Golf Course - one of the world’s most famous golf courses - right here in South Africa.  From the golf car races to the tooth paste covered faces of the juniors (courtesy of a surprise midnight visit to our room), this tour was nothing short of being the best tour a person could ever experience.

I would like to thank Mrs Wheeler and Mrs van Biljon for making this tour incredible for us, and thanks to all the players for making it so much fun.

DURAN DUFFIELD

Playing on some of the most well- known courses in South Africa like Legend Golf Course was a motivational experience which tested our golfing skills. The ‘night’ golf was awesome - not the easiest and a very new experience. I had so much fun with my peers! I thank the teachers for an amazing weekend.

BRENTON LOTZ

Being part of Maragon’s first ever golf tour was an amazing experience! Although the golf was not always great, the courses and being able to play with friends made it a memorable experience. I only hope that golf at Maragon will continue growing and that maybe we might be able to share the experience with more people next year.

DREW McGEER

The Golf Tour was the best tour I’ve ever had. To play 54 holes in two days is a challenge but it was a great time and I really enjoyed it even though it was a four hour drive back home. I want to say thank you to Mrs van Biljon and Mrs Wheeler.

GREG WILKEN

Wow, what an amazing tour! Playing golf at the Legend Golf Course was an enjoyable experience, especially since I was playing with great friends. I really hope that more people will be there next year -I know I will!

ANDREA COETZEE

It was a tough challenge but to be on those amazing courses was a very special experience. I really had fun! Thanks to everyone.

BEVAN MÜLLER

This golf tour really was fun. 54 holes in two days – now that is what I call a challenge! Playing ‘night’ golf was a once in a lifetime experience. I would like to thank Mrs Wheeler and Mrs Van Biljon for making this tour possible.

RYAN WINGROVE

This tour for me was amazing! All the people I was surrounded by made it a great time. I just want this to influence more people to play this great game.
