NETBALL

Maragon strives for excellence in our Netball teams. Our girls are given opportunities to develop their skills through organised practices, matches and trials. This allows them to enjoy competitive Netball in a safe and controlled environment. We currently take part in the D12 league structure.

Our coaches praise and encourage all participants and emphasize the spirit of the game rather than the errors.

We encourage our coaches to improve their skills by allowing them to become accredited through the Netball South Africa Coaches Association. Coaches also attend courses throughout the year, so that they can keep up to date with the technical skills and rules of the game.

Our mini Netball (U/7 - U/9) introduces the game of Netball and promotes the love of the game. The emphasis is on skills development and enjoyment.

There is an annual Netball camp for our U/10 to U/13 players where the focus is on skills development and bonding.

Achievements - 2011

The U/13 Netball team of Maragon Private School are the proud winners of the D12 Netball League.

Regional and D12 team:

Kiara Steward was selected to represent the District 12 Netball team and Anastacia Sijbesma was selected to represent the Regional Netball team.
