MARAGON MOMS THAT CARE

The late Kyle Wittuhn was the inspiration of the MMTC. He was exposed to a school in Natal that have a mom’s group that pray for the children and families of the community.  He was constantly reassured of their continued prayers by providing him with cards and small gifts.

We had our first meeting on the 21st October 2009.  The response was overwhelming as we had thirty two ladies attend. Collectively their reaction was to make a difference.

MISSION STATEMENT

Through hard work, thoughtful stewardship, and single-minded focus on the needs of our children, we will strive to make a lasting difference in the lives of our children, their families and our community...one need at a time. MMTC is dedicated to ensuring and nurturing of the physical, spiritual and emotional

well-being of our children. Through our prayer networking and practical efforts we can offer kindness and support and services to children and families in our Maragon community.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Bring the Maragon community together by caring through a prayer network and monthly prayer meetings to assist the Maragon community by providing and organising assistance to families in need. Raising funds for the purpose of meeting specific needs of families. funding the care and uplifting gifts.
Strengthen relationships within our school that include children, teachers and parents. Installing a culture of caring within the Maragon community.
To install a positive attitude towards each other.

MMTC is positioned under the Maragon umbrella. Although we have our own identity we shall operate within the procedures and policies of Maragon Private School. We would love to have many people join the MMTC family, no matter how big or small your involvement. It can be to receive our prayer requests, or  to attending our monthly prayer meetings or helping  to deliver a meal to a family in need. Contributions of small deeds make a difference.

Feedback on Bandana Day:

Maragon Private Schools in conjunction with their care group - Maragon Moms That Care - organised Sunflower fund bandana day on 12 October 2011. The response was overwhelming as we managed to raise R20,000.00 to this worthy cause. It is close to our hearts as we dedicated the day to Dominique Charlebois who sadly past away to the battle with leukemia. 'Dominique Day' will definitely be an annual event in the Maragon Calendar.
